Top 5 Communication Apps in Peru on Android in Q1 2022

The first quarter of 2022 saw notable performances from the top 5 communication apps in Peru on the Android platform. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends in downloads and active users for WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram, Snapchat, Getcontact, and Messenger.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with consistent weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 96K in late January. Active users steadily increased from around 16.5M at the start of the quarter to over 16.9M by the end of March.

Telegram experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a high of about 64K in early February and a low of approximately 47K in late March. Active users showed a positive trend, growing from around 705K to over 756K throughout the quarter.

Snapchat saw significant spikes in downloads, particularly in mid-February with about 86K downloads. Active users also increased, reaching over 2.5M by the end of March, despite some fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Getcontact had a notable surge in downloads in early January, hitting approximately 144K. Active users peaked in mid-January at around 219K before stabilizing to around 131K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw minor increases, peaking at $38 in mid-March.

Messenger maintained stable download numbers, averaging around 45K weekly downloads. Active users saw a slight decline from approximately 7.6M to around 7.3M over the quarter. Revenue peaked at $114 at the end of January but showed a declining trend thereafter.
